After completing Escape from Tarkov's Gunsmith Part 17, Mechanic will offer you another AK-related build, yes, another. Within Escape from Tarkov Gunsmith 18, Mechanic requests you build him an AKMN to match his specific requirements, being around the 4th or 5th AK build we've completed throughout the Gunsmith tasks. However, AKs are easy to build hence their popularity and the quest still provides easy XP and quick money. The rewards from Gunsmith Part 18 are a little more rewarding, urging players to take immediate action. Being a minimum level of 33, players will experience ease in completing the Gunsmith tasks.

What Do You Need to Do for Gunsmith Part 18
Gunsmith Part 18 will require a series of weapon attachments for the AKMN following these criteria:
- 60 Durability
- 300 or less recoil
- 50 or more ergonomics
- 5 kg or less in weight
- AK Magpul MOE AKM handguard (Black)
- AKM/AK-74 Magpul Zhukov-S stock
- AK Magpul MOE pistol grip (Black)
- AK 7.62x39 Magpul PMAG 30 GEN M3 30-round magazine (Black)
- Magpul M-LOK AFG tactical foregrip (Black)
- Rotor 43 7.62x39 muzzle brake-compensator
- EOTech HHS-1 hybrid sight (Black)
The AKMN can be purchased from Prapor at loyalty level three, therefore most players will be able to retrieve the weapon from him. However, if on a budget you're able to quite easily find this weapon on raiders within maps like Reserve and Lighthouse. Additionally, the AKMN sells for a cheap price on the Flea market for anyone trying to save time, but make sure to check the durability, if below 60 you'll have to purchase another weapon and restart.
How To Complete Gunsmith Part 18
To complete Gunsmith Part 18, modify the AK-102 with these attachments:
Attachment | Merchant | Loyalty Level |
AK Magpul MOE AKM handguard (black) | Skier | LL3 |
Magpul M-LOK AFG tactical foregrip (Black) | Peacekeeper | Skier | LL3 | LL3 |
AKM/AK-74 Magpul Zhukov-S stock | Peacekeeper | LL4 |
AK Magpul MOE pistol grip (Black) | Mechanic | LL3 |
AK 7.62x39 Magpul PMAG 30 GEN M3 30-round magazine (Black) | Peacekeeper | LL2 |
Rotor 43 7.62x39 muzzle brake-compensator | Mechanic | LL2 (Barter) |
EOTech HHS-1 hybrid sight (Black) | Peacekeeper | LL4 |
AK AKademia Bastion dust cover | Skier | LL1 |
These weapon attachments will be quite hard to obtain due to their rarity. But, if you decide to look for them check locations like The Lab and Interchange Kiba Gun Store. These attachments will secure a worthy weapon but will cost quite a price, personally, I'd recreate this weapon and take it into Reserve or Woods as the weapon will definitely show a return due to its EOTech hybrid scope and muzzle break.
Gunsmith Part 18 Rewards
Here are the following rewards for Tarkov's Gunsmith Part 18 quest:
- +23,100 EXP

These rewards are excellent, the attachments are worth quite a lot on the Flea market if you decide to sell them. However, the Vudu is perfect for extract camping on Interchange, so maybe think again!
